DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A DONKEY TO YOU?

DonkeyKong

I may not be the smartest mule in the shed, but I know a donkey when I see one. So why do they call him Donkey Kong when he is clearly not a donkey?

Like all of the big questions in life, I went to google for the answer. Here is what I found.

One story says that Shigeru Miyamoto (the gringo who created the game) wanted to call the game ‘Monkey Kong’, but a cruddy fax machine or telephone meant the name was misinterpreted.

Another legend says Miyamoto looked in a Japanese-English dictionary for something that would mean “stubborn gorilla”, which frankly, I find insulting.

Anyway, now you know!

M.U.L.E THE VIDEOGAME

I think videogames are bueno, but why don’t more of them feature mules?

Back in the 1980’s they had the smarts to make a game for the mule market, ‘M.U.L.E’. It was about freaky mules in space.

Art hadn’t been discovered back then so the graphics sucked real bad.

I have no idea what is going on here.

In this game you use mules to harvest energy, food and other stuff so you can get rich. Then you distribute the wealth amongst your mule comrades and move to Beverly Hills.

This game is older than the burrito under my sofa. I put the cartridge in my toaster but it did not play. So believe me when I say this is the best game about mules ever!

Read more about it here.
